Christmas Day

I can't beleive it's come and gone. Lucy's first Christmas. It was a busy holiday for us. We celebrated with my mom, Daniel's parents, my dad, grandparents, and then at my aunt's. Lucy enjoyed the wrapping paper and boxes, not caring as much about what was inside.

The WalMart price is $12.50

Christmas Time!

Daniel put up the tree today and we decorated it. Lucy loved watching but all we've said since we finished was "Lucy, no, no" and tried to distract her with something else. All she wants is that dang tree. The dress Lucy is wearing is mine from when I was little.

Video from our weekend

At the deli in Cambria. We stopped there to get lunch on the way to Hearst Castle.

Our weekend away

Friday after Thanksgiving we left for our trip up north. We being Lucy, Daniel, Travis, Harmony, Joe, Margaret, and myself. On our way up we stopped in Los Olivos at ate at the Fess Parker Wine Country Inn & Spa.
Here's Daddy and Lucy just outside. Ready to eat!
Then we drove down the road to Fess Parker's Winery and samples some wine. Lucy, appropriatly, has her winery onsie on. It says "Vintage Baby. Aged perfectly. Mom and Dad's special blend".
Notice the coonskin cap logo on the wine glass. Fess Parker was Davey Crocket or Daniel Boone or someone like that in a old, old, old, Disney movie.

Lucy played outside in the grassy area before we piled back into the car for more driving.

We got to our hotel in Buelton and it had the only Starbucks in the Santa Ynez Valley. Yipee! Tho it wasn't good Starbucks...
For dinner we decided to walk the few blocks to the Firestone Walker Brewery & Restaurant. It was very very cold so we bundled Lucy up. She was asleep by the time we go to dinner and slept the entire time! It was so nice to enjoy a hot meal.

The next day we got up and went to San Simeon to tour Hearst Castle. Here are some pictures Daniel took.

On our way home on Sunday we stopped at one of my favorite places, the Santa Barbara Mission!

The skull and bones signify the graveyard.

The only mission with twin towers!

And at the end of the day, and a long trip, and too many hours in the car, Lucy fell asleep with no problems. Now onto Christmas!
