And you thought the Swine Flu starting in Mexico...

It's about time....

Same pay, same position! We get our paperwork tomorrow or Monday but the boss-lady pulled us in to tell us. Many more good things: benefits, vacation, my employment will start from the first time I was hired (so in September I will be half-way to 10 years!), and lots of other good things. Yipee!!

Happy Birthday...

to me!!! Today is my birthday and I have had the best weekend ever.

Saturday started off with Margaret, Harmony (my soon-to-be sister-in-law!!!!!), and I going to Skinsations Spa. This place is pretty neat and low-key. Harmony and I both agreed that it was the best massage we ever had. I felt like the masseuse's hands never left my back. Ooohhhh sooooo relaxing. Then the three of us headed off to the mall for lunch at Genghis Khan. Yumm-o! After we were all stuffed we headed to the JC Penny Salon where I got my hairs cut. It was styled so nice and pretty... and will soooo never be that way again. I'm just not that into taking forever to do my hair.
Once that was done we all got mani/pedis! It was so relaxing. After our fun filled day we picked up Daniel, Joe, and Lucy to head over to dinner at Bucca deBeppo. It was my first time there and definitely not my last. The place was so much fun! The food came in great big portions and tasted delicious!
Today I went to Disneyland with Joe and Lucy. I got an annual pass, with parking!, for my birthday!! Yipee, hooray!!! I'm so excited. Lucy and I can now go (almost) whenever we want. Plus it was my birthday so I got a b-day pin!

Oh do you like my ears? I made them at the hat-making store!

Little Lucy

Too cute for words! Thanks to Nessa for doing her hair ;-)

Beach Time!

We took Lucy to the beach once when she was a few months old. She slept the whole time and never saw it. So today we decided to make another attempt. It's miserably hot in our condo since we have the worst design ever. One teeny, tiny window upstairs; a front door & sliding door that are right next to each other. That's all the ventilation we have. Plus our patio is enclosed in a giant stucco wall. No breeze. No window on the other side of the house (the door and windows are on the same front). Yuck. So needless to say I'm very concerned about this upcoming summer...
Anyway. We decide to head to the beach to cool off then stop at BJ's on our way home for dinner (gift card!!). First we want to make a stop at BRU or Toys R Us to get a hat for Lucy. We also want to get an umbrella stroller since that is much easier than our massive stroller for short trips. We have a gift card and a coupon! So we head to the one in Fullerton. Only pink strollers there, not for us. We want a stroller that can be used for boys and girls. So we head to the one in Huntington Beach. Again, only pink strollers -- and they are more expensive! Plus no hats. The AC in our car isn't working so well (aka at all). So by this time I'm hot and sweaty and have windburn from the freeway. I'm miserable and decide I no longer want to go to the beach (shocker I know). Let's just eat and go home. Daniel thinks we are too close (he's right, we were only a couple miles away) so off we go. We find a great parking spot at a meter! But no change.... So we head over past Main St into a residential area and find free parking. Yipee! Plus it was right next to an entrance to the beach.

Lucy's first impression of the sand was not good. She immediatly hated it. Too much of the unknown...

Walking with Daddy to the water

They got wet...
... and Lucy didn't like that so mucn

We went to BJ's then home. Overall it was a fun, enjoyable day. Plus it was oh so nice and cool at the beach!!!!!! Oh and one good thing came out of the second Toys R Us we went to. We figured out which carseat we want to get Lucy. It's the Graco Natilus 3-in-1.

My Fave

My Gramma Ashley took this picture of Lucy at Christmas. It's hilarious!

Heather's First Birthday

Here is a picture my mom brought me of my first birthday. I suppose I see the similarities between Lucy and I now.

Happy Easter

First off I can't believe this was Lucy's second Easter. No more first holiday's!!! Aw... tear.
Breakfast with the Bunny

Trent and Lucy ... he's so sweet with her! Enjoying the hunt Trent and Jess
Getting sleepy after a long day

Angels

All I have to say it that it's not a good year for the Angels or their fans! First during spring training, then a fan, then a car crash! Sooooooooooo sad.

Bunny Ears

Lucy got some bunny ears from her Great-Gramma Kathy and she is obsessed with them! She keeps bringing them to me wanting to wear them.

MOPS Easter Egg Hunt

We were up verrry early this morning. Daniel had to leave early for a long day and we usually get up with him (he's noisy!). So we had an early start.
Lucy loves attempting to feed herself. After breakfast we played and watched Mickey Mouse. Lucy fell asleep early, around 8:30, since we had been up longer. This turned out well, she woke up at 9:30. Just in time for... our easter egg hunt!!
Lots of eggs for the 2 and under age bracket.
James and Lucy inspecting their loot.
I wonder what he is thinking???
Carrying her eggs back to our seats
I'll go if you go

Family Dog

Thank you Aunt Kathy for this exciting link!!!!!! In the mid to late 80's there was a TV show called "Amazing Stories." The stories were written and directed by Brad Bird. The exec producer was Steven Speilberg. The animation designer was Tim Burton! Music by Danny Elfman.

My family and I were addicted to the Family Dog episode. It's freakin' hi-larious!!!! Watch it and tell me what you think.

Disneyland... again!

It's been a while.....

So here are some pictures and updates on Lucy!
Where's Lucy?

There she is!

Bubble fun

Lucy is now running everywhere (and falling a lot). Everything is "ba" which I think is becuase her favorite things are: Balloons, Bananas, Books, and Balls. She waves hi and bye, and I've heard she says Hi as well but have yet to hear for myself. She knows the color red and usually picks it out on a book or toy when asked. She LOVES music. Whenever she hears music she will stop, listen, and dance. She likes Elmo but is starting to lean more toward Mickey Mouse. We went to Disneyland this week, that will be a separate post. She loves her toys, family, and friends! Most of all she loves Mommy and Daddy.
