Can you hear me now?

Hi there, remember me?

Wow. I haven't posted a 'real' blog in forever! So how are you? How are things? How's life? We recently moved, Daniel got a job, and Lucy is about to turn two! HOLY COW!

Let's start with the move. Unfortunately we've lost our house. Bummer, I know. It was a looooong process getting to where we are now and we tried all we could to save it then sell it. Nothing worked out for us. We didn't go far, just the next city over in Placentia. We are renting a 2 bed/2 bath apartment with a 1 car garage. WE LOVE IT! It has so much more space and privacy. I still have my own washer/dryer!! I will never be able to give those up. Lucy has her own bathroom and bedroom. She is starting to potty train, I think she's ready its just me who's not. She just loves having her own room (as do I!). She goes in there, closes the door, then slowly opens it (yes, yikes! she can open doors now...), pokes her head out and says "Come in, come in" while waving her hand. She's got her crib, all her toys, and a slide in there! The best part... at night when she is going to bed I can close her door!!! It has made such a difference in her sleeping habits. She naps better and sleeps longer at night.

Can you believe she will be 2 next month?! Two. 2. I just can't get my head around it. She's such a little girl now. She talks. All day long. Every day. All the time. And she repeats everything she hears. She loves to color, slide, swing (oh she loves to sviing!), play with her babies, run, watch Barney. She LOVES Barney. She imitates all the moves those little kids do to the songs. If I start singing a Barney song she will shout "Barney!" and start doing the moves to the song. Oh, she got this toy for Christmas, from her Uncle Josh. It's a Mr Ouch or Mr Owie, something like that. When you move/throw him he shouts expressions of pain: "Ow!", "Oh!", "I don't think that's such a good idea", etc... she tosses the crap out of that toy! She loves all her Papa's, Nana's, Grammas, Aunties, and Uncles! When we are going to someones house she will repeat all their names the whole way there (IE when I drop her off at my Dad's, the entire drive she goes "Papa. Gramma. Auntie. Ness. Jess."), she repeats them over and over. It's so cute. She's got such a personality!

Lets see, oh. Last Friday Daniel heard back from Pepperdine and he got the job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That was such exciting and wonderful news. He first applied for this job 7 months ago. It's not teaching, but something to do with PHP and writing web codes (I think). They are going to fully train him. It's at the West LA campus. It's such a relief to finally know, one way or the other. It's an even bigger relief to know he got the job! Hopefully he will enjoy this position and be there for a looooooooooooong time.

Well, that's taken up the last half of my lunch here at work. I'm still at Pella and will hopefully be here for a good while longer. I enjoy working here but there are still daily struggles (that you can read about on FB if you are a friend).

I would like to get some pictures up on here soon, so keep checking back!

My view on things...

Here is the view from Lucy's new room

And here is the view from our living room

It's a wonderful rainy day today. Perhaps I will be able to catch up on some blogging. So much has changed since I was on here last!

So long Agador...

Name: Agador Spartacus
Born: June 25, 2006
Weight: 10-12 lbs
Height: 1 foot
Length: 2 feet
Breed: Yorkie-Tsu (mix of Yorkie and Shih-Tsu)
We love Agador but we are moving and have chosen to not take her with us. She is fixed and we just paid her license fee in October. She is trained to use a puppy-pad which we usually keep inside the house. We would have trained her to go outside but we don't have a yard! She loves long walks, cuddling, and playing chase. She is great with kids.
