Happy Halloween!

By the way, let me tell you about one fantastic special feature of my new fantastic laptop. It has 'Picasa 3' which is where I view the pictures I upload. That in itself is not all that special BUT it has a button, when viewing pictures, labeled "Blog This". I can select as many pictures as I want and hit that button and presto! they are uploaded. This is so wonderful for me since the normal upload time for pictures can take a few minutes. Now it's so quick!!! I love it! Oh, I wonder if it uploads video that quick? Let's try.

I'm Pooped!

Well I'm ready to go to bed and sleep until Monday! It's been a loooong weekend so far. Friday evening Lucy and I met up with some friends at Disneyland. We had dinner at Taste Pilot's Grill where I had some yummy chili-cheese fries (my fave!!). After dinner we walked around California Adventure for a while. Did you know that they have a Mission Tortilla factory inside the park and when you walk thru you get a FREE, fresh, hot off the press, tortilla? We got flour ones and they were quite possibly the best tortillas ever.

Then met up with some of my friend's friends and headed into Disneyland to view the opening-day festivities for Halloween Time! WOW is all I can really say. The entire park is transformed and rides are fixed-up with Halloween decorations. And the new fireworks show? Out of this world! ... hey wasn't that a TV show? How random that I just thought of that. I think it was and I think I LOVED it! Guess what I'm Googling next??... So sorry, now, they are just about as fantastic as all firework shows go. Really, truly something to see. This is a special Halloween Time only fireworks show so go see it while you can.

So, while I watched the fireworks (Lucy slept thru them, can you believe it??!!) my friends, Brandon and Heather, along with their friends were waiting in the ... can you guess? 100 MINUTE line for Space Mountain, which has been transformed for Halloween. I got a switch-pass since I had Lucy. Just after 10pm, with a now awake Lucy, they call me and tell me it's my turn! Brandon took Lucy while The Heather's went on the ride. Would you believe that we literally just walked right onto the ride? It was insane! It was perfect timing when we got to the gate, the cast member took the pass, said "Row 6" and as soon as Heather stepped up to the platform the gates opened and we walked into our seats. Freakin amazing! Oh and when we were done, we noticed the wait time was up to 130 minutes, over two hours! Geez, but it was worth it.

We left the park at maybe 10:30pm? Daniel had gone to an Angel's game with a friend so we went to pick him up instead of having him try and find a parking spot. Got home around 11:30pm. Got in bed around 12:30pm, I couldn't sleep I was so wired!

I was really hoping I was going to be able to sleep in, since I usually do on Saturdays (you know, till like 8am!). But no, Daniel had to go do something in LA. Blah blah blah, I wanna sleep. He wasn't sure how long it would take, and he JUST NOW got home. It's 8pm.

It was a long day with Lucy today. We went to Target, got a Barney DVD for $5! Yipee! She is soooooooooooooo into Barney. It's all she wants, allllllllll daaaayyyyy looooonnnnnng. "Bobbie, Bobbie, Bobbie!" Yup, that's Barney. We play, she napped, I rested, she cried, I took her for a couple walks, we swam. Then we showered! Haha, she hadn't ever taken a shower before... and she wasn't a big fan of it. Now she's asleep and my food is ready.

Night!

Disneyland

We had a great afternoon at Disneyland today. Lucy and I rode Winnie the Pooh (her fave!), we explored Innoventions which is something else she loves since EVERYTHING is hands on and OK for her to touch, and we went on Mr Toad's Wild Ride. Now, I cannot recall having been on that ride before which is why we went today. It started off pretty swervy and I thought "Well I must have got sick on this ride as a kid and never wanted to go on it again." Then I started to pick up on the story... does the toad get drunk, crash, and go to hell? What in the world is that ride about and how creepy is it to be a kids ride???!!!!!?!!!? I now feel the need to watch that movie to see what it's all about. Does anybody have it that would loan it to me?

As we were leaving a cast member asked me a couple questions and gave Lucy a Mickey sticker. That was the highlight of her day! The just started laughing and talking to that sticker, it was hilarious. She fell asleep on the way home and and is still sleeping now. I really should be cutting up fruit for tomorrow but my legs are too tired to stand!

PS Sorry no picts, my camera is out on loan
